Max Perform: Max Perform contains a 4:1:1 ration of BCCAs; studies show ingesting BCAAs (leucine, isoleucine, and valine) prior to training can reduce the RPE (rate of perceived exertion) and prolonging TTE (time to exhaustion).
Max Capacity: Max Capacity contains cordyceps, one of the few components know to raise lactate threshold and increase mitochondrial ATP output.
Max Rehab was designed to reduce inflammation in chronic and acute injuries, speed recovery time and increase soft tissue healing. The components in Max Rehab, like curcumin, Boswellia, and cissus, are all backed by human based trials reducing inflammation and helping athletes recover from injury. We’ve also added piperine, a black pepper extract, to enhance bioavailability.
Cissus Quadranglularis: A plant native to south Asia but now found worldwide; it has been used in Ayurvedic medicine throughout history. Studies show reduced pain/increased muscle relaxation with use, and preliminary studies show potential for increased bone healing rate
Curcumin: Turmeric is a common plant of ginger family found throughout southern Asia. Curcumin is the active component in turmeric, and exhibits strong systemic anti-inflammatory action that has shown efficacy in soft tissue & bone trauma, brain trauma, chronic diseases of cognition, and inflammatory bowel disorders
Boswellia Serrata: A species of tree that is commonly known to produce the fragrant resin frankincense. Boswellia, like Turmeric, is also highly anti-inflammatory, due to the specific boswellic acid AKBA.
Piperine (BioPerine®): An extract from black pepper, piperine can increase the bioavailability of co-ingested nutrients through inhibition of cytochrome P450, p-glycoprotein, and reducing hepatic glucuronidation.
Max Perform is our powdered pre-workout BCAA (branched-chain amino acid) drink; in addition to having a 4:1:1 ratio of BCAAs, there is ALCAR, which helps the body use fat as fuel, Taurine, which reduces DOMS (delayed onset muscle soreness), EAAs (essential amino acids) to help recovery, and a small amount of caffeine to give you that preWO boost!
Branched Chain Amino Acids: BCAAs are composed of leucine, isoleucine, and valine, and are considered essential in that they must be obtained from diet. Supplementation causes increased protein synthesis, reduced Rate of Perceived Exertion (RPE) by preventing an influx of serotonin, and causes glycogen sparing during training, and increased glucose uptake after training.
Essential Amino Acids: EAAs (L-phenylalanine, L-lysine, l-tyrosine, l-aspartic acid)
Acetyl L-Carnitine (ALCAR): Acetyl L-carnitine is an acetylated form of carnitine, which is broken down and used in the process of transporting fatty acids to the mitochondria for use as fuel. It also has a secondary, dose-dependent ability to increase lactate clearance.
Caffeine: Caffeine is the most commonly used and studied over-the-counter stimulant. It works by antagonizing the adenosine receptors, there by causing increased alertness and wakefulness. This inhibition can also influence the dopamine, serotonin, acetylcholine, and adrenaline systems, thereby reducing RPE (rate of perceived exertion). While dosing ranges in studies showing an ergogenic effect can range up to 6mg/kg, many individual variances exits, lending itself to justifying a lower dose per serving in Max Perform.
Taurine: An organic compound that is found throughout animal tissue, it is often confused as being an amino acid, which it is not. Studies have shown benefits when combined w/ BCAAS to alter DOMS, and in isolation has anti-oxidant like effects without blunting exercise-induced oxidative adaptations.
